Howdy from The Lone Star State! Actually I'm not in The Lone Star state anymore, but for the purposes of this blog post we'll pretend I am. It's been hard finding time for computer stuff on this cross country journey I'm on, there's just so much to see and do! But I'm so excited to share everything that's going on with you all, my loyal blog readers, so I'm trying to find any opportunity I can to post photos. I have a lot of pictures to share from Texas because it's such a big place! I hadn't been there before and I absolutely loved it. I visited some great cities and saw some beautiful countryside and I just can't wait to go back! Enjoy the pics and make sure to click on them for a little description.

Hey Guys, how's it going? I hope you have been having a good couple of weeks, I sure have! I'm actually all the way in Santa Fe, New Mexico now but I'm just getting a chance to put up some pictures from when I was in New Orleans. I think that was just last week actually but so much has happened since then that I don't even know where to begin! I guess I'll just go ahead and put the pics up and go ahead and click on the photo to make it bigger and for a little info. Take care y'all and I promise I'll try & put the next set of photos up soon. After New Orleans I was in Texas - GEE HAW! Hey Y'all! Hope you're having a great week! I'm down in the deep South now and I love it! The photos I'm going to share with you today are from Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia. I absolutely loved both of these cities! They were so different but both had beautiful houses and parks and wonderfully laid back atmospheres. I also got the chance to visit Boone Hall Plantation in Charleston, which all you fans of the movie "The Notebook" would recognize as Rachel McAdams's family's summer home. So here's just a little taste of some of my adventures in the South. Click on the photos to see them bigger and to read a little info about each pic! Hey Guys! I am almost a week into my cross country road trip and it has been amazing so far! I stopped in Virginia for a few days to visit some friends and then headed to Tennessee to live out a dream of mine and go to Dollywood! For those of you who don't know, Dollywood is the theme park opened by the Amazing, Beautiful, Talented Superstar Dolly Parton. Can you tell I'm a fan - hahaha! I think she's just fantastic, and her park did not disappoint. It was awesome and so well thought out and I just had a blast. Here's a few pics from my day at Dollywood and I hope it makes you want to go for a visit! Oh yeah, and there was a lot of love for mules throughout the park, (you can see examples in two of the photos), thank you for that Dolly! Hey Guys! Hope you're having a good long weekend! Sorry for the lack of blog posts this past week, it was my last week in good old NYC and it was a busy one. I was packing, tying up loose ends, meeting up with friends, and generally going crazy! But I made it through the week and am now off on my amazing trip across the country. I'll try to do some blog posts along the way, probably mostly photos so you can get a little glimpse of my adventures. And while I can't wait to start a new life in the City of Angels, I'll miss New York terribly and nobody does a better tribute to NYC than good old Blue Eyes. So take it away Mr. Sinatra! I love you NYC!!!! Hey Guys, Happy Friday! Just a quick one today, here's another in my series of great movie monologues. This one is from "Casablanca," and I'm playing the role made famous by one of the greats, Humphrey Bogart. I know those are some big shoes to fill but I gave it my all and had a blast doing it. Enjoy & have a great weekend! Hey Y'all! So as I mentioned last week I'm moving to LA! I'm super excited for all the opportunities in modeling and acting that await me. I also that I'll be taking a month long vacation in which I (along with my friends) will drive across this great country of ours. I'm pretty much a workaholic but I'm going to put a pause on it for the month of September and relax and enjoy the trip. However, the workaholic in me wants to hit the ground running once I get to LA so I'm busy learning some new monologues and updating my portfolio before I go. I know that in LA swimsuit modeling will be more prevalent than it is here in NYC so I booked a session with photographer Jessica Thomas. I think they turned out fab and I'm so happy to have the new pics for my book!
Hey Guys, hope you had a good weekend! So not sure if you knew, but this past Saturday the 16th was the anniversary of Mr. Elvis Presley's death. I am a HUGE Elvis fan, I made a little tribute video last year (seen here) and I spent this past Saturday listening to Elvis music and watching my favorite Elvis movie, "King Creole." If you haven't seen this movie I highly recommend it. It takes place in New Orleans and was directed by Michael Curtiz, who also directed one of the greatest films of all time, "Casablanca." So if you thought Elvis never made any good movies definitely check "King Creole" out & you'll see that's just not true! Like any true Elvis fan I have made the trek out to Memphis to see Graceland, check it out: That was a few years ago and I had a blast. It was just so cool to be in the home that Elvis loved so much, walking around where he once walked and everything. I wanted to sit in the furniture and go lay in his bed but that's not allowed for some reason - hahaha! Anyway, Elvis was a true artist and supposedly a very nice guy and I just love him so much. Oh yeah, and did I mention how handsome he was? Hubba hubba! Happy Monday everyone! Hey Guys! It's time for Throwback Thursday! Every summer here in NYC there are a lot of amazing outdoor concerts and dance and theater performances, but one of the most coveted tickets is for Shakespeare in the Park at The Delacorte Theater. You can't buy a ticket to Shakespeare in the Park (unless you're richy rich and you contribute a bunch of money), you have to either wait in line to earn your seat or enter the online lottery and pray you'll be one of the chosen few. Sometimes for the really popular shows people sleep on the street so they can be at the front of the line. I did that once and it was an interesting experience that I hope to never repeat. The show that is currently playing in the park is "King Lear" starring John Lithgow. I was lucky enough to win tickets in the lottery last Sunday and it was an amazing show and an incredible performance from Mr. Lithgow. I believe it closes on Sunday but if you're in the NY area go wait in the line or try for the lottery - you won't regret it! And now for my Throwback picture. In addition to watching many shows at The Delacorte I have also gotten the chance to perform in a Shakespeare in the Park production. It was 3 years ago, and the show was "Into The Woods," starring movie star Amy Adams and Broadway Legend Donna Murphy. Check it out: It was one of the thrills of my life, the entire cast and crew were a blast to work with and there is something so amazing about doing a show outside, in the elements, where anything can happen. Some days it was sweltering hot, some days it rained (and that doesn't necessarily stop the show, by the way), and there were a couple of raccoons who lived in the park and who apparently wanted to be in the show too because they would wander out on stage from time to time. Shakespeare in the Park - I will miss you but I'm looking forward to discovering the LA equivalent!
Hey Everyone, Happy Monday! So I have some huge news to share with you all. It's bittersweet but most of all very exciting. In just about three weeks I'm going to be moving to Los Angeles. I love NYC and always will but this little mule is ready for a new adventure, and I'm excited about the possibilities to further my career in Hollywood. I might have to slow down the blog posts in the next couple of weeks, I'll be busy packing and wrapping up my NY life. Once you've spent a significant amount of time in New York you'll always be a New Yorker at heart, but this city sure can be a pain in the neck sometimes! Here's a little list of some of the things I'll definitely miss, and some of the things I'm ready to take a break from. I'll miss this: The Met, the most wonderful museum in the world! But not this: I mean, I will miss the convenience of the subway but not when it's crowded like this! A mule can barely breathe! I'll miss this: Killer view and a beautiful park to enjoy it in. But not this: Garbage. There's just so much garbage. I'll miss this: No city has better shopping and I'll argue that point 'til the end! But not this: This is a line to get into a grocery store. There are too many lines in this city, I will not miss the lines! I'll miss this: Times Square at night is pretty spectacular. But not this: Times Square in general though...... pretty hard to not get annoyed in a crowd that big, especially if you're late for an appointment and get stuck behind a tour group and keep running into those creepy costumed characters and everybody's taking pictures left and right!
Well, I could go on and on and I'm sure the things I'll miss would outweigh the things I won't. Driving away for the last time will definitely be sad but I can't wait to start a new life in Sunny California. And I'll be back to NYC for visits for sure! Have a great week everyone, catch ya later! |
