Well, it's been a rainy couple of days here in NYC, about 3 inches yesterday alone, but since I'm from Portland I'm handling it like a pro. And honestly I don't mind the rain because rain helps flowers bloom and aren't flowers just the best thing ever? Here are a few photos of some beautiful flowers that I photographed on a trip home to Portland a couple of years ago. And Mr K, these photos are for you. (you might recognize some from your yard!) And finally, of all the flowers in the world, I think some of the most beautiful are dahlias. My Grandma was a prize winning dahlia grower who had the most beautiful backyard garden full of dahlias. My Grandma passed away a couple of days ago and I would like to post these next few photos as a tribute to her. I'll miss her lots but she made the world a more beautiful place because she was in it and every time I see dahlias I'll think of her.....
