Gypsy!!!

Hello everyone, happy Monday! I have some very exciting news! I am thrilled to announce that my alma mater, the Sheboygan Conservatory has asked me to star as Gypsy Rose Lee in their upcoming production of Gypsy! This is such an honor, everyone else has to audition for their parts but apparently I'm one of their most esteemed alumni so they just flat out offered me the role. Isn't that wonderful? If you're gonna be in Sheboygan, Wisconsin the week before Christmas please check out the show, it's gonna be fab! And be sure to dress warmly, Wisconsin in the winter is cold enough to freeze your "you know what" off! Hahahaha! But for those of you who won't be able to see the show in person, I have a little treat for you: me singing that well known tune from the show, "Let Me Entertain You!" Enjoy!

Memorial Day

Hello again, I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day Weekend! Wait a minute, isn't that an oxymoron? If we were gonna spend the Memorial Day weekend appropriately it probably should have involved solitude, reflection, maybe some tears.....anyway, you knew what I meant. And screw you if you didnt! Hahahahhaha!

I went down to Ocean City, Maryland with some friends for the weekend. We had a fabulous time going on rides and stuffing our faces. In that order of course. We also spent some time lying on the beach and I dipped my hooves in the freezing cold water. It was a good time had by all.

Anyway, now it's back to the grind. I have a couple auditions coming up this week and a photo shoot over the weekend. I'm always interested in building my portfolio so if anyone reading this wants to take some pictures message me and let's set something up! And now, since it was just Memorial Day, I'd like to leave you with a little clip of me singing the chorus of Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American." Enjoy!

Hello everyone and welcome to my website and blog! My name is Apples Minsprod and I'm an actress, model, and singer who lives in Brooklyn, New York with my best friend Junes and her boyfriend Brian. I love my job(s) and I love my life and I'm so excited to finally share my experiences with the world....wide web that is - hahahaha!

Now let me just address the elephant in the room here and clarify that yes, I am a mule. I walk and talk just like you humans but I am proud to be a mule and wouldn't have it any other way. In terms of my career, I don't consider being a mule a disadvantage, though I can't say that casting directors are blind to it either. I submit myself for all kinds of roles and want to be considered just like any other actress, but here's what I often hear when I walk in an audition room: "Oh, you're Apples the Mule," hence my website address. Sometimes I can convince them I'm right for a part (even if it was written for a human) and sometimes I can't, but I'll continue fighting for equality, and screw anyone who stands in my way! Hahahaha!

So keep checking back. I'll be updating this blog quite frequently with news about upcoming work, anecdotes from auditions and gigs, and stories from my life. You won't want to miss it!
