I had so much doing that shoot so when I got the call to do another one featuring looks from the Academy Awards I was beyond thrilled. My stylist friend Raquel Moe outdid herself this time, but we also had a little fun recreating a couple of the more unique looks from the red carpet. But I'll get to those in a minute. To start things off, here's our version of Best Actress winner Cate Blanchett, stunning in Armani Prive:
Hey Everybody! Do you remember a couple months ago when I did a photoshoot with looks from the Golden Globes? Here's a little refresher if you need it: http://www.applesthemule.com/1/category/golden-globes/1.html I had so much doing that shoot so when I got the call to do another one featuring looks from the Academy Awards I was beyond thrilled. My stylist friend Raquel Moe outdid herself this time, but we also had a little fun recreating a couple of the more unique looks from the red carpet. But I'll get to those in a minute. To start things off, here's our version of Best Actress winner Cate Blanchett, stunning in Armani Prive: This is last year's Supporting Actress winner Anne Hathaway in a sophisticated Gucci Premiere dress: And here is last year's Best Actress, the "girl on fire" Jennifer Lawrence dressed in a fiery red Dior: Now on to the fun ones. Don't worry, I don't have an announcement to make, this is just me with a fake baby bump recreating Elsa Pataky's Elie Saab dress and real baby bump: Next comes a guy who is having a ton of fun with his red carpet looks. He may have left the famous hat behind (though he did wear it during his performance) but he certainly stood out in his tuxedo shorts look. That's right, it's Pharrell: And speaking of fun, this last lady knows a thing or two about it. She seemed like she was having a ball the whole night, and is never afraid to poke fun at herself. Ladies and Gentlemen, here's our version of Liza's look: Well, I hope you have enjoyed looking at our Oscar Fashion photoshoot as much as I enjoyed doing it. Have a great rest of your week and catch y'all next time!

Hi Everyone, did you watch the Golden Globes on Sunday? You know I did and thought it was FAB! Tina and Amy were hilarious, as I knew they would be, and they looked gorgeous in all their different outfits. I loved the part when Amy dressed up as Tina's adult son too, I almost peed my pants I was laughing so hard! Today I have a really fun post to share. A stylist friend of mine, Raquel Moe, wanted to do a photo shoot recreating some of the most unique looks from the Globes and she asked me if I'd be her model! She brilliantly threw together all the outfits in a matter of hours and we did the photo shoot yesterday afternoon. Check out the looks below: Here I am in Jennifer Lawrence's Dior Gown.... And Sofia Vergara's Zac Posen and gorgeous turquoise necklace. This is our version of Amy Adams' racy Valentino... And Zooey Deschanel's demure Oscar de la Renta princess gown. What a treat to get to dress like one of my all time favs, Ms. Julia Roberts, looking spectacular in Dolce & Gabbana! And finally, while most people didn't care for Paula Patton's Stephane Rolland Couture gown, I say at least she made an impression and got people talking! As the old saying goes, "There is no such thing as bad publicity!" Here's our version, pretty good, right? Boy, did I have a blast doing this shoot and I hope you enjoyed the photos. Oh yeah, and one more thing, I have a special shout out to one of the most important people in my life: Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Big Lug.......Happy Birthday TO YOU!!!! I hope you're having a wonderful day today and I love you very much! Take care everyone, see y'all soon!
