Happy New Year!!!

Hey Everyone! Wow, I can't believe it's already New Year's Eve. These past couple of days have been bittersweet because 2013 was so good to me, but I'm super excited to see what 2014 has in store! Being a performer isn't the easiest thing in the world and I feel so lucky that I was able to do what I love and work with fun, fabulous people along the way. And doing this blog has brought me so much joy on top of all of that! Here are a few highlights from this past year:

Happy Friday everyone! As promised, here's a photo of me at the Greenwich Village Halloween parade last night:

Yep, I was the wrecking ball from Miley Cyrus's infamous video. This year I had decided I wanted to do something current and edgy and Miley Cyrus definitely fit the bill. I wanted to make sure not to be too obvious (or slutty) so I chose not to be Miley herself but to be that poor wrecking ball she sits on instead. And I put her on there in doll form just to make sure everyone didn't just think I was a bowling ball - hahahaha! I had a fantastic time watching the parade and walking around the village. People kept stopping me to take pictures, I felt like a celeb! And speaking of celebs - hey Miley, call me, maybe we can collaborate on something! I'm down as long as there's no spanking involved! Hope everyone had a fab night too and have a great weekend!

Hey Guys! Has everyone seen Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball" video? I'm sure most of you have, she's gotten a hundred and nineteen MILLION hits on youtube! Pretty freakin' crazy, huh? You know I got the chance to meet Miley a few weeks ago (as seen here: http://www.applesthemule.com/1/post/2013/08/vmas.html) and I wish her nothing but the best but I gotta say I think she stole from me! I'm referring specifically to the first image that was used to promote her video, seen here:

There's something you may not know about me, which is that I used to be somewhat of an anarchist. I had a lot of anger and I directed it towards "The Man." There was one incident from a while back where this old Mom and Pop soda shop was going to be demolished to make way for luxury condos. A few of us went down to the site and chained ourselves together to prevent this from happening. The police came down and started arresting us, but I broke free and climbed up on the wrecking ball. A passerby took this photo, which ended up getting circulated around quite a bit:

Am I crazy or are these pretty darn similar? It's ok Miley, I forgive you for borrowing a page from my life, all I ask for is a piece of the profit! Maybe two or three million and I won't take you to court. Just kidding. Hahahaha! Anyway, no hard feelings Miley, keep on keepin' on, but I do recommend underwear next time you're gonna sit on a wrecking ball - that sucker was cold! Have a great day everyone!

Oh my God you guys I have the most exciting news! I got to go to the VMAs (MTV's Video Music Awards in case you don't know) at the Barclays Center here in Brooklyn last night!!!! Can you believe it? Here's what happened: I have this cousin named Ca$h Refund, he's a rapper and has some connections in the industry, so he got a couple tickets and asked me if I wanted to go. I had to think about it for a while....JUST KIDDING! Hahahaha! Of course I said yes right away. I'm sorry I didn't tell you all beforehand but it was all very last minute and I didn't want to jinx it in case it fell through. Anyway, I had a fabulous time and met tons of celebs and stayed out way too late partying. Here's my favorite photo of the night:

We got to pose with the most talked about performer of the night, Miley Cyrus! Isn't that crazy?! I'm going to keep my opinion about her performance to myself but it sure was cool meeting her. Oh what the hell. I think Kelly Clarkson said it best: Miley was like a "pitchy stripper" - hahahaha! Anyway, getting back to me, the dress is Versace and I gotta say thank you so much the people at Versace for letting me borrow it! So that was the excitement for my weekend, now it's back to reality.
