And now for my Throwback picture. In addition to watching many shows at The Delacorte I have also gotten the chance to perform in a Shakespeare in the Park production. It was 3 years ago, and the show was "Into The Woods," starring movie star Amy Adams and Broadway Legend Donna Murphy. Check it out:
Hey Guys! It's time for Throwback Thursday! Every summer here in NYC there are a lot of amazing outdoor concerts and dance and theater performances, but one of the most coveted tickets is for Shakespeare in the Park at The Delacorte Theater. You can't buy a ticket to Shakespeare in the Park (unless you're richy rich and you contribute a bunch of money), you have to either wait in line to earn your seat or enter the online lottery and pray you'll be one of the chosen few. Sometimes for the really popular shows people sleep on the street so they can be at the front of the line. I did that once and it was an interesting experience that I hope to never repeat. The show that is currently playing in the park is "King Lear" starring John Lithgow. I was lucky enough to win tickets in the lottery last Sunday and it was an amazing show and an incredible performance from Mr. Lithgow. I believe it closes on Sunday but if you're in the NY area go wait in the line or try for the lottery - you won't regret it! Check it out: It was one of the thrills of my life, the entire cast and crew were a blast to work with and there is something so amazing about doing a show outside, in the elements, where anything can happen. Some days it was sweltering hot, some days it rained (and that doesn't necessarily stop the show, by the way), and there were a couple of raccoons who lived in the park and who apparently wanted to be in the show too because they would wander out on stage from time to time. Shakespeare in the Park - I will miss you but I'm looking forward to discovering the LA equivalent!

Hey Everyone! My throwback pic is a little different today. Longtime readers of the blog will remember that way back when I did a couple of "Where's Apples?" posts. I took a picture and photoshopped myself in it somewhere like those old "Where's Waldo?" books. I haven't done one of those posts in I don't know how long but I thought it'd be fun to "throw back" to the early days of the blog and do one now. Check it out, see if you can find me: Did you find me? I'll give you a hint - I'm lying down. This photo shows people camped out to watch the free outdoor movie at Brooklyn Bridge Park. It's something I have done for years, and one of my favorite things to do in the summer. It gets really crowded though, this photo must be pretty early on in the evening. So I should actually say that watching the movies is a terrible experience, don't bother coming - hahahaha! Just kidding, plenty of room for everyone. Have a great weekend everyone!
Hey Guys, Happy Throwback Thursday! I can't remember the last time I shared a Throwback picture so I guess it's been too long. Sorry about that, but I've got a good one to make it up to you. It's the middle of summer now and I think I've mentioned before that I love the beach. But did I ever mention that I love surfing too? I'm no expert and I don't even own a board so I haven't been surfing in years, but check me out on a trip to Hawaii years back: I look pretty sharp, don't I? I feel like I have my "concentration" face on though, and I needed it because surfing is no joke. This was just a little itty bitty wave too, I don't know how those dudes ride the huge waves. I don't think I could do that, I stick to the ones 3 feet and under. I'm just a little mule after all - hahaha! But check out the video below if you wanna see the world record for biggest wave ridden ever at 100 feet. The guy who rode that wave is named Garrett McNamara and he's either one of the coolest or one of the craziest dudes around. Or both! Have a great weekend everyone! Hey Everyone, how's it going? It's been a few weeks since I've done a Throwback Thursday post, sorry about that! Today I have a cool photo to share though. Do you all know Maxwell The Pig? You probably do, even if you don't know his name. He's also known as The Geico Pig, and he has been starring in Geico's commercials for a while now. He is a good friend of mine and this photo is of the two of us at the famous restaurant and "celebrity hot spot" The Ivy a few years back: I took him to The Ivy to celebrate when he found out that he booked the Geico gig. Actually we were both up for that job, as were several other animal friends, believe it or not, but if the job wasn't meant to be for me I'm so glad it went to my good buddy Maxwell! He's so charming and funny and I think he does just a fantastic job! Check him out in action below and have a great weekend everyone! Hey Guys! First of all, thank you so much for the great response about my first "Should You Care?" video! I'm super excited to keep sharing my opinions about everything under the sun, so keep reading the blog, or you can see all my videos at my youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpK-xW9HtZDxa7vYJfWhdIg This week's throwback photo takes me back to my child modeling days. Did I ever mention that I was a child model? Well, I was. I did a lot of catalog work for stores such as Sears and JC Penny's, as well as a local chain in Portland called Fred Meyer. I don't even remember which store this photo was for, it's kind of all a blur to be honest! Isn't it funny how the two girls in the photo are facing forward and smiling at the camera and the two boys can't seem to get it together? Typical! Hahaha! Well, I hope everyone has a good weekend & I'll catch up with ya next week!
Hey Guys! You know I love holidays and one of my favorites is coming up: Easter! I gotta be honest, I love it mostly because I love Easter candy - Cadbury Eggs, peeps, jelly beans - it's all so delicious! I have a really cute Throwback picture to share, I think I was about three, and my Mom dressed me up like a little bunny and took me to an Easter egg hunt. Well, I ended up finding more than just eggs, check it out: Can you believe it? A little bunny hopped right by me! I wanted to take it home but my Mom said we couldn't because its home was outside. Oh well, just glad Mom snapped this photo of the bunny and me, it's just so cute! And the bunny ain't bad either - hahahahaha! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Hey everyone! Just a quick post today, I came across some images from a photo shoot I did last Spring at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden that I don't think I ever shared. I love the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and this photo shoot took place when the daffodils and cherry blossoms were in full bloom - one of the most beautiful times of the year at the garden for sure. Here's a few of the pics from that shoot: The shoot was with Brooklyn photographer Blaine Termus, who was awesome to work with. I can't wait to visit the garden this Spring, and maybe do another photo shoot. And speaking of photo shoots, I have one coming up that I am beyond excited about, but that's all I can say about it for now. You'll just have to keep checking in on the blog and in the next couple of weeks it'll be revealed! Have a great weekend everyone!
Hey Everyone! I was going through an old box of keepsakes the other day and I came across a photo that I knew I wanted to share with you all. Back in high school I played Juliet in a production of "Romeo and Juliet." Here's the photo: In case you couldn't guess, that's the iconic balcony scene and I was about to start the monologue that's right before Romeo appears. We put on a great little production if I do say so myself. The set was fantastic and the costumes were gorgeous. It was my first big role in a play and it was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately I don't have a DVD copy of it, just a few photos like this one, but seeing this photo inspired me to work on some of the material from the play again. You can never have too many audition monologues! I filmed myself and wanted to share it with you all. Enjoy, and have a great weekend! Happy First Day of Spring everyone! As you can see it's time for another edition of Throwback Thursday, where I show you photos from my past. Today's photo shows off a talent you may not have known I had: That's right, I was a drummer in a hipster rock back a few years back. We were called Warewolf Picnic and we were pretty popular around Brooklyn for a short while. Like most bands, we ended up breaking up, but it was fun to live out the fantasy of being a rock star at least for a little while. And I know that women drummers are kinda rare so I'd like to take a moment and encourage you girls out there to pick up a set of sticks and give it a try! It's super fun and a great way to get frustration out! Here's a little video for inspiration, this lady ROCKS! Have a great weekend everyone! Are you excited for the Sochi Games to start? You bet I am! I'm an Olympic fanatic - summer, winter, it's all good! I know there has been some bad press about Sochi's preparation but I'm sure everything will come together and it will be a fabulous Olympics. I posted a photo of me figure skating a few weeks ago and now I'd like to share another photo of me participating in a winter sport: I know I'm outfitted like a real pro here but I was actually around 12 years old, trying skiing for the first time. This might be the only time I was upright that day - it's harder than it looks! I still ski from time to time but I'm no pro. I can't wait to watch the pros though, starting tomorrow night - GO TEAM USA!!!
