Hey Guys! How has your week been? We had an exciting Monday here in NYC, dozens of major celebs were in town to attend the most glamorous event of the year: The Met Ball. It's a fundraiser event for the costume institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but really it's just an excuse for celebs from movies, modeling and music to get dressed to the nines and rub elbows with the richest of the New York City rich. The gowns at this event are often over the top and extreme, here are a few examples of what has been worn over the years:
I didn't get an invite this year (I guess it got lost in the mail? - hahahaha!) so I decided to do a little dressing up and come up with my own Met Gala inspired looks. Check them out!
What do you think, would I have made the best dressed list? The Met Ball is all about pushing the envelope but somehow still being elegant and classy so your guess is as good as mine! Playing dress up sure was fun though, maybe I'll throw on one of these looks when I go out this weekend. I think the lesson is: don't wait to get invited to a ball to treat yourself like a princess!
