Hey Guys! I hope you have a good weekend! Mine was pretty good, but today I have a little bone to pick with People Magazine. In a few weeks they'll be debuting their annual "50 Most Beautiful" issue, and in preparation for that anyone can upload a photo onto the website as part of the "real beauty" section. Well almost anyone as I found out. I thought it'd be fun to see my face on People Magazine's website so I picked an image and uploaded it. A few minutes later I received an e-mail that said my photo had been rejected because it was too small, out of focus, or inappropriate. Well, I don't think it was any of those, here's the photo I uploaded, judge for yourself:
The file size is large and it's definitely in focus, so all I can think is that People somehow deemed my photo inappropriate. Excuse me?!?! Let me tell you something People Magazine, beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and can be found in all types of creatures. You may not want to recognize that now but hopefully someday you'll include all of us in your list. But I have a voice and I have a blog so I'm going to use it to be part of the solution. Below you'll see a slideshow of some of my fellow creatures who won't make it into anyone's "most beautiful" list, but who I think are beautiful nonetheless.
Seriously, I met a naked mole rat once - nicest guy and funny as hell, and that made him beautiful to me. So please let's all celebrate our beauty today and everyday! Have a great week everyone!
